Stem cell science: Harnessing your body’s natural regenerative power

Stem cell biology has come of age.  There are now several studies that provide unequivocal evidence that stem cells when activated, can contribute to tissue regeneration and restoration of cells to repair age-related as well as pathology related damage.

When it comes to the skin, plant stem cells have been identified to benefit the skin and in recent years have been included in skincare products.  However, their efficacy is limited, and in essence, they predominantly play a protective role on the skin rather than a regenerative one.  Now new scientific advances and technologies in human tissue stem cells are providing amazing breakthroughs in their ability to provide effective and safe results in repairing and transforming the skin.

In this lecture you will learn:

  • A brief history of stem cell science
  • Update on what the latest research is presenting
  • How the next-generation technology can transform skin and hair care
  • Review of real case studies and results that can be expected
